The studio at EMI Nashville
is a home away from home for me. I managed this studio at EMI Nashville for roughly 15 years, and have engineered a countless number of song demos, artist demos and custom records there. The room is overcome with history and a relaxed funky vibe, and is rounded out with great gear, and great rates.
Trident 80B and Pro Tools HD
The Trident 80B is a reliable workhorse of a console that has great sounding mic pres and is famous for it's channel EQs. It makes a great front end for audio captured on the studio's industry standard Pro Tools HD2 recording platform.
Great vintage mics and modern monitoring with Aviom
EMI's studio is fortunate to have inherited a great collection of mics from the old
CBS Quonset Hut Studio, which includes (four) Nuemann U67, and (two) U87. In the closet, there are also more modern mics from Audio Technica, AKG, and many others to chose from. The room also has 8 stations of Aviom personal headphone mixers which allows each musician to dial in just the right headphone mix so they can deliver their best perfomances.
